Often friends and/or family can help and listen to what is going on. However, frequently we have issues we wouldn’t want to discuss with someone "too close".
Can you always be sure what you say will be treated in confidence? Will the person be able to listen attentively, not judge, not give advice, or place their own hopes and fears onto you?
Counselling provides you with a safe place to explore the challenges that you are facing and work though to achieve what you want to achieve in your Life.
As a general counsellor I see clients with a broad range of challenges, from a range of backgrounds - for example my experience in the corporate world has helped me support many Senior Executives and my experience as a Dad of 5 kids has helped me support many parents.
Through my life experiences I have a particular interest in supporting parents of children with special needs and parents with children who are questioning their gender and sexuality.

As a qualified counsellor I work within the guidelines as set out by the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) , which I am a member of, and am bound by their Code of Ethics
I offer you an impartial, non-judgmental, independent and confidential one to one counselling service.
It is not my place to advise you what to do – it is for me to help you find the answers within yourself.
