Counselling - Your safe place to talk
We all have moments when life feels like too much — when the weight of it settles in, the loneliness creeps up, or a low mood that started as a passing cloud just won't lift.
Counselling offers a safe, confidential, and completely non-judgmental space to explore those feelings — to understand where they come from, and to find healthier, more empowering ways to work through them. As an NZAC-registered counsellor, I work with clients across Auckland and online throughout New Zealand.
Your feelings are real and they matter. Acknowledging them is the first step. What comes next can change everything.
Counselling isn't about giving you the answers — it's about helping you discover the answers that are right for you. Because deep down, you know yourself better than anyone. Sometimes we just need a little help learning how to listen to ourselves again.
What Can Counselling Help With?
I support clients with a wide range of personal challenges, including:
• Anxiety and stress
• Depression and low mood
• Loneliness and feeling lost
• Grief and loss
• Relationship difficulties
• Family challenges
• Life transitions and major decisions
• Supporting parents of neurodiverse, disabled or gender diverse children

Our time together
Sessions run for approximately 50 minutes and are available in person at my North Shore practice or online — making it easy to access support from anywhere in New Zealand.
If this is your first time seeing a counsellor, it's perfectly natural to feel a little unsure about what to say — or to feel strange having a whole session focused entirely on you. That's completely okay, and more common than you might think.
Take a breath. Start wherever feels right. We'll find our way through together.
I'm here to walk alongside you — to ensure our time together feels safe, supported, and completely at your own pace.

I have not seen a counsellor before, what can I expect?
It's completely normal to feel nervous before your first session. My role is to help you feel comfortable and safe, so that you're able to talk about whatever is happening in your world.
In most sessions, you do most of the talking — I listen, ask questions, gently challenge thoughts or beliefs, and offer guidance. I may also suggest some reflection between sessions, but everything moves at your pace and your choice. The more you put in, the more you'll get out.
What can I talk to you about?
Anything at all - I am a general counsellor and hear to support clients regardless of what is happening in their world.
Can we chat before I book a session?
Yes, absolutely - I am very happy to have a 10min chat on the phone and answer any questions you have.
